Nicholas Shatan
Nick Shatan is Learning Manager at the MIT Community Innovators Lab. He works with BCDI’s Planning and Policy Lab on mapping, data analysis, knowledge capture, community planning, and policy analysis, and supports the development of the Bronx Community Land Trust. His first project with BCDI was co-developing interactive strategic mapping tools around gentrification and displacement with the Bronx-wide Development without Displacement roundtable. Nick has a Master's in City and Regional Planning from Rutgers and a BA in geography from the University of Chicago. Previously, he worked in affordable housing and community-based research, and interned for various New York City agencies in geographic information systems, policy analysis, and capital projects.
